Authored 100+ evidence synthesis reports for national organizations and medical societies, including AHRQ, FAA, SVS, AUA, ONS, OPTN, ASH, TES, Chest, and others. Contribute to clinical practice guidelines with focus areas relevant to primary care. Led automation and AI projects to advance evidence synthesis methodology, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, managed rapid reviews for Mayo physicians supporting real-time patient care decisions.
Observed clinical care in pediatrics across inpatient and outpatient settings, gaining exposure to common pediatric conditions and multidisciplinary approaches to patient management. Reinforced my interest in pediatrics as a core component of primary care.
Mentor medical trainees, including fellows and summer students, in systematic review methodology and critical appraisal of clinical evidence. Lead seminars on research design, data synthesis, and applications of AI in clinical decision-making.
Led 10 systematic reviews supporting a national clinical practice guideline on myelofibrosis management. Presented findings at a 2-day in-person panel meeting, facilitating expert discussion using the GRADE framework to draft recommendations. Prior contributions include guideline evidence synthesis for the Endocrine Society (2019) and Society for Vascular Surgery (2020).
Observed comprehensive, patient-centered care in family medicine clinics, learning from faculty on continuity of care, preventive medicine, and chronic disease management. Gained valuable perspective on primary care delivery applicable to pediatric practice.
Collaborate with Mayo Clinic physicians across multiple specialties to develop AI-driven risk prediction tools, statistical models, and web applications. Apply machine learning, programming, and advanced biostatistics to build clinical decision-support tools that improve patient stratification and outcome prediction.
Above and Beyond Recognition for Teamwork: “For the leadership and mentoring you provided our summer students. They will always remember this positive experience at Mayo Clinic, and it will launch their young careers.” Presented by M. Hassan Murad, MD, MPH.
